Intro 01:28
Come with me and you'll see the sun, All the battles we've lost and won. All the places we've gone before, All the world and so much more. Make it to the shore and carry on the memory; How I'm sure that this won't be the death of me. The water rushes in; the boat is sinking, but hope is on the way, and all I'm thinking is: The fire in the sky will leave you blinded, but hope is in my heart, and I'm reminded of how I'm sure I'll give this life the best of me - I'll sail into the sun and carry on the memory.

Freedom 04:12
Back to the wall and curled to the floor, I have nowhere to go anymore. The life I have led has brought me to this place; a rebel at heart who has fallen from grace. Don't hold me captive and take me for good. You took me for granted. I knew that you would. Sailing this ship, but I won't reach your port. There's water for miles. I hope that there's more. You cannot set yourself free from your misery. You cannot set yourself free. It's too late. It's too late. Where were you when the whole world was knocking at your door? You were caught up in this storm. Don't bite the hand that feeds you now. I am the finch forgotten somehow. I cannot escape to this place that I see I'll never become what I now want to be. Don't hold me captive and take me for good. You took me for granted. I knew that you would. Now send off this voyage to take me away. The shore is in sight and it's waiting for me. You cannot set yourself free from your misery. You cannot set yourself free. It's too late. It's too late. Where were you when the whole world was expecting more from you? It's too late. It's too late. Hold it up and come ashore. I want so much more, but I knew that you wouldn't even listen. ...and the enemy's running.

On her birthday, the sun eclipsed. I never got to taste those lips. The words she sings are beautiful. A daughter of God; a miracle. But I don't think she understands How much she's worth. She's in God's hands. But if I sing, maybe she'll hear. Maybe she'll feel the Spirit near. I know you feel all alone, and I wish that you'd pick up the phone. I need to tel you how I feel. I have to show you this is real. Feel you linger on my lips From when I gave you my first kiss, But I've never been kissed at all, and I never dreamed you'd call. She's a good friend. I've known her for years. After all this time, I still hold her dear. And I remember the day we met. She smiled at me though she was upset. Meet you after school at two, and I just don't know what I should do. You've got me captivated. But your heart seems so blockaded. You can't solve this one on your own, and I can't help you over the phone. Please let me show you're not alone. Let me help you to find your home. If we two were never meant to be, I'll see you in the eternities. Maybe then you and I won't just be passerby. Tell me why. How is it that I still love you? I know that this much is true: I promise you that I will try to wipe away the tears you cry. Send you a single white rose and a note that reads, "Keep me close." But I'm scared of what you'll say. You've got my heart and could kill so many ways. So I'll hide from you this song, though I know I've done no wrong. I just can't let you see the thoughts inside of me.

Another sunrise at my house at six A.M., and with it we all know that life is born again. But it's not the same. It's not the same. With it we all know we've changed. With each new dawn, you're a thousand miles away, and so with that in mind, we face the day alone. But I don't want that. No, I don't want that. Both of us don't need that. Dear Abby, I tried writing you a song. I wrote a thousand lines, but every one was wrong. I hope you don't mind settling for less. Because in my mind I was always second best. Because when you're home, you know everything's all right. I wish you'd come home, because I feel alone tonight, so alone. Gotta bring you back home. You said you'd be home the sixteenth of December, But today's the twenty-second of November. I'm counting days. I'm counting days, sitting here in my maze. Dear Abby, I tried writing you a song. I wrote a thousand lines, but every one was wrong. I hope you don't mind settling for less. You know I've always seen myself as second best. And when you get home, maybe we can take a drive. Let's talk of anything. Let's just enjoy the night. That'd be great. Yeah, that sounds great. Let's make it a date. Dear Abby, I tried writing you a song. I wrote a thousand lines, but every one was wrong. I hope you don't mind settling for less. Because in my mind I was always second best. Dear Abby, Dear Abby, Dear Abby...

Take a look around at all that you've got. You say the world's in your hand but you know that it's not, and you're holding on to everything. Turn it around. It's what you want, It's what you need, It's everything. It's what you hope, what you believe, and it's your faith and your dreams. It's what you want, It's what you need and it's everything. It's what you hope, what you believe, and it's under your skin. My thoughts sporadic; The last girl was ecstatic. I hate to say it: what was I hoping for? I let her walk out the door right in front of me. I walk around in circles in my mind; Am I holding on deep inside? Am I moving on to better things? (All that I know - I'll be clapping for you) It's what you want, It's what you need, It's everything. It's what you hope, what you believe, and it's your faith and your dreams. It's what you want, It's what you need, and it's everything. And it's your faith, and it's your dreams and it's under your skin. (Under your skin..) (Under your skin..) (Under your skin..)

Leave me alone. I've got some thinking to do. Time is running short, and I'm burning the fuse. 'Cause timing is everything when you're lost, Dazed and confused. Just wait it out.. It's coming soon. Seventeen years have gone by way too fast. You've been carried along like a kite in the breeze. Waiting for something that you've yet to see, to come along and set you free, but it's time to cut those strings. It's time to let it go. What's that rumble off in the distance? Why does it seem to be so persistent? Is it time to walk to walk through the fire, To the trials that life will require? It's gotta be my own two feet again. Take me to the place where we began. ((Take a step outside, Tell me what do you see? Who's there, what's there, who could it be? The door's wide open.. It's today. It's today. What are you waiting for? This isn't the end, It's only the beginning, It's just the beginning.)) I can see the light, I can see the light. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now.

She's just another passerby, well I'm just passing time. I fell to pieces, but I've been decent recently. I'm reaching crossroads, I'm breaking barriers but it gets scarier. Next time it's ok, But the rear view can steer you astray. She plays with my head, a puzzle she's made to be replayed. Lost in the mix again, I tried to piece it together but I'm not too clever. Like a morning glory, cause now I'll never know our story. Cause we've been blown into proportions, On and off and on and off, It never stopped it never started, Never knowing we departed. All is one and all is lost, But I have to find a way somehow. Another hundred thousand miles, But I have to find, have to find somehow. Somehow... Someway... To get back to you, The puzzle has lead me astray. You're just another girl, So I'm just passing time. You're just some other world, A reason with no rhyme. All is one and all is lost, (You're just a passerby) But I have to find a way somehow. (Another passerby..) Another hundred thousand miles, (No, I'm not asking why..) But I have to find, have to find somehow. (No, I'm not asking why..) All is one and all is lost, But I have to find a way somehow. Another hundred thousand miles, But I have to find, have to find somehow.

(Person 1) Breathe in deep, Look to the skies. Lost a part of who You are inside. See the sun, In the eye of your mind. Your journey's begun, In the dead of the night. You will find, That the world is small. The people change, But the stories are all... The same. (Person 2) Breathe in deep, Let it all out. Lost inside, So filled with doubt. This long road, Has led me here. All this doubt, Collides with fear, and I know... This will get better soon. Yes, I know. All because of what you were, All because of what you were, We're still the same.

Lidocaine 03:34
The stereo, it masquerades. It plays for us colors and shades. The television set portrays how our world has run astray. Like lidocaine it coats our brains, and numbs us to the core. We claim to hate it, but still we take it, always wanting more. Why do we want more? We're always wanting more. So pick your trash out carefully, and cherish all its sanctity. It hasn't got the best of me, but I won't wait for it to try. Like lidocaine it coats our brains, and numbs us to the core. We claim to hate it, but still we take it, always wanting more. Like lidocaine it coats our brains, and numbs us to the core. We claim to hate it, but still we take it, always wanting more. Like lidocaine it coats our brains, and numbs us to the core. We claim to hate it, but still we take it, always wanting more. Like lidocaine it coats our brains, and numbs us to the core. We claim to hate it, but still we take it, always wanting more... So pick your trash out carefully. You haven't got the best of me.

Sometimes you think you know all that you need. But when people come into our lives, You see that you know nothing at all. For too long, I went without you. Then you came along and opened the door, And let me through. Time keep ticking on and on. And we keep moving right along. Time keeps pushing on and on. 'Till we find the place where we belong. But now here I am, Just a little broken and abused. Just remember, just remember. I am here for you. But it's just another, just another, just another, afternoon. Yeah, it's just another, Broken stormy Afternoon. But when you're here, I get this feeling. Grey skies are blue, The beginning's nearing.

Skyline 04:19
The streetlights and dark nights Make me think if you when I am down. All we need know is the star-strewn city skyline, And this would be a perfect setting for a certain day in May. And I remember the nights we spent staying up late, And I remember the times we spent singing our hearts out. Consider this a letter written straight from the heart. I know it's not a lot, but music's all I got. So by writing this I'm giving you a part of me. And I remember the nights we spent staying up late, And I remember the times we spent singing our hearts out. (ROCK) You're my muse, and I'm confused. (Is this the beginning or the end?) Do you remember the nights we spent staying up late? (Is this the beginning or the end?) Do you remember the time we spent singing our hearts out? (Is this the beginning or the end?) We were just dreamers then, we never thought we'd get this far from here, yet stay so close to home. (ROCK²) Five years down the line, How much will you change? Will you still be mine? Will you be the same?

I've fought too long in this citadel To see it all come crashing down. The clouds are breaking, Can you feel the chill? And if you see me running through the rain, I'm not insane. Just pull me through this, I'll be ok. I'll see you again someday. The April Showers pave the way for the brighter day. Leave behind you All you can, Just come and take my hand. The clouds are parting, there's the sun, A promise shining down. The April Showers pave the way, For the brighter day. The April Showers pave the way, For the brighter day. For the brighter day. For the brighter day...

Hold It Down 03:55
Come with me and you'll see the sun, All the battles we've lost and won. All the places we've gone before, All the world and so much more! (Yeah!) Let the water fall down on me, Cast away on this stormy sea. But there's hope in this blackened night, On the shore I can see the light! All this doubt and all this fear, My desperation's led me here. I've tried so many times before, If this one fails I'm done for sure. And all I've got left is this picture on the wall, waiting to fall, right in front of me. Black bandannas and picture frames. Mediocrity too many names. Confrontations and time I lack. Thought for sure you'd have my back.. Hold it down. Hold it down, Hold it down. (The water rushes in, the boat is sinking, and hope is on the way, and all I'm thinking is..) Hold it down, Hold it down. (How I am sure that this won't be the death of me - I'll make it to the shore and carry on the memory.) Hold it down, Hold it down. (Hold it down!)
